A Joint Exhibition of American and Maltese Artists:
The Archetype and Symbol of Women and the Female Form

Westin Dragonara Resort, St. Julian's, Malta
March 31st to April 10th, 1999

• Hon. Dr. Louis Galea, Minister of Education and Culture officially opens the exhibition.
• Tricia Grame, the Curator,presents that the purpose of the exhibition is to depict and celebrate the female image, and the sacred power within all women and their connection to the birth, life and death cycles.
• Elinor W. Gadon, is an art historian from California, and lectured during the exhibition: "The Women's Spirituality Movement in the United States - Feminism and Integralism". The lecture was organized by the Workers' Participation Development Centre at the University of Malta. She is the author of the Once and Future Goddess: A Symbol of Our Time, which includes a chapter on Malta.
